The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Group

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and sinister influences expanding in power within the city.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The latest chapter ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to embark on their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team knows exactly where to head next after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city dangerous:

  • Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to head to the northern region in pursuit of the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Planners tables.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on October 24.
